How To Stop Manifesting Bad & Unwanted Things? (10 Useful Tips)

Being conscious, we can use the law of attraction in our favor and manifest things that make our life rich and more fulfilled. However, this same law may go wrong and work against us if we fail to handle it properly.

I mean to say that when we can’t control our mind and emotions from thinking and feeling about things that we don’t want, it results in the manifestation of bad and unwanted things.

So, the question is, How to stop manifesting negative thoughts? How to stop manifesting your fears? how to stop manifesting bad and unwanted things?

The short answer is,

You can stop manifesting bad and unwanted things by controlling your thoughts and feelings and focusing them on things you actually want to manifest. In order to do so, you can use affirmations, practice gratitude, visualization, and/or meditation technique.

Buddha said right, “what you think you become, what you feel you attract, what you imagine you create.”

Thereby, most of the time, the manifestation of wrong things is a result of our own negative beliefs and mindset, from where the negative thought and feeling arises and takes its physical form.

In today’s post, I will give you 10 practical tips, using which you can stop manifesting negative, unwanted things in your life and start manifesting things that you actually want.

10 Tips To Stop Manifesting Bad and Unwanted Things

Is Manifesting Bad And Dangerous For You

1. Don’t Contemplate

See, when we contemplate on one thing, it becomes our thoughts, and thoughts eventually transmute into feeling and action.

So, if you constantly think and contemplate about a thing that you don’t want, you are giving energy to it and attracting it into your life.

You may have experienced that situations you don’t want to happen or try to stop happening often happen. Didn’t?

Therefore, don’t contemplate and don’t waste your energy thinking about negative and unwanted things.

“Thoughts become things… so always think good.”

Mike Dooley

2. Distract yourself when negativity overwhelms you

If you can’t stop thinking about what you don’t want, distract yourself and engage in an activity or a hobby that you enjoy.

You can play games, listen to favorite songs, watch motivational videos, read books, communicate with others, or do anything that keeps you engaged and positive.

Another thing that you can do instead of running away or distracting yourself from negative thoughts is “Mindfulness.”

Wherein you consciously observe your thoughts without making any judgment nor identifying yourself with them.

As soon as you become mindful (conscious), your thoughts will vanish. (I will discuss further on Mindfulness)

3. Replace Negative Thoughts With The Positive Ones

Whenever any negative thought comes to your mind, watch it objectively and replace it with the positive one.

For example, I got a thought that “I have less money and I wouldn’t fulfill my big dreams.” Now, as soon as I detect it, I will repeatedly say to myself, “I am rich, and soon I will fulfill my dreams.”

This way, you can break the negative thinking pattern and replace it with the positive ones.

As you practice this, the positive thoughts will become dominant in your mind, and eventually, they will drive you towards the manifestation of good things.

4. Use Affirmations

Affirmations are the concise positive sentences used to reprogram our subconscious mind (beliefs) for the things we want to manifest in our reality.

When you contemplate affirmations, it sets a pattern of positive thoughts in your mind, changes your beliefs, and creates a burning desire to achieve your intention.

Examples of affirmations,

  • I am happy
  • I am healthy and fit
  • I am rich and successful
  • I am confident and courageous
  • Whatever I think and believe, I can achieve

When you contemplate these types of affirmations, your negative thoughts and beliefs get shattered and turned into positive ones, and the manifestation of bad and unwanted things gets stopped in your life.

Therefore, make a daily practice of repeating such affirmations related to your intention and align yourself for the things you actually want.

5. Cultivate Faith & Gratitude

Faith and gratitude are the powerful emotions. When you have these, fear, doubts, and negative thoughts vanish into thin air.

Therefore, develop faith in yourself and the universe. Trust that you are being taken care of, your desires will be fulfilled, and your manifestation will soon come into your reality.

Also, be grateful for what you have and what you have accomplished because this practice will put you in a positive mood and help to manifest good things in life.

Remember, the only way to stop manifesting your fears is to channel your negative thoughts and feelings into positive ones.

If you just think, I don’t want bad things, I want to stop bad manifestation, you are actually fostering it, which is not good.

Therefore, never try to stop negative thoughts or manifesting unwanted things; instead, think positive and put efforts to manifest things you actually want.

“Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.”

Roy T. Bennett

6. Visualize What You Want

Visualization is considered as the most powerful manifestation technique.

Because it can literally hack your mindset and beliefs and make them convince for you want to change or manifest.

When you visualize, you generate powerful thoughts and sentiments of having it now. The universe then returns that reality to you, just as you saw it in your mind.

So, practice visualization twice a day, once in the morning and once before going to bed. In your visualization, create a picture of your desire or dream as if they’re already manifested.

“When you visualize, then you materialize.”

Denis Waitley

7. Try To Be Mindful

Mindfulness is a cultivation of moment-to-moment non-judgmental awareness. In other words, it’s a practice of being conscious or aware of what you do and think.

When you are mindful, no thought or feeling can touch you and imprint its impression on you, especially the negative ones.

Hence, try to introspect your mind and be mindful (conscious) of your thoughts, and be aware of what you are doing without judging it.

As you introspect your mind and be aware of your thoughts, they get disappeared, and the cycle of negative thoughts is broken down.

Thus, you can stop thinking and feeling about unwanted things and prevent them from manifesting.

“Mindfulness practice means that we commit fully in each moment to be present; inviting ourselves to interface with this moment in full awareness, with the intention to embody as best we can an orientation of calmness, mindfulness, and equanimity right here and right now.”
Jon Kabat-Zinn

8. Meditate

Meditation is a powerful practice for controlling the mind and enhancing its abilities.

Also, it is scientifically proven that meditation and mindfulness improve our overall well-being, especially improve the quality of our thoughts.

In one experiment, participants who meditated and were mindful experienced less negative thoughts in response to viewing negative images than the control group.

This means mindfulness and meditation may attenuate thoughts that emphasize negativity. (Reference: NCBI).

Along with this, there are several benefits of meditation that could some way or the other help to prevent the manifestation of unwanted or bad things in your life.

“Meditation is like a gym in which you develop the powerful mental muscles of calm and insight.”
Ajahn Brahm

9. Breath Deeply

Whenever you find yourself dominated by negative thoughts, take some deep breaths and focus your mind on breathing.

See, the breath and mind are closely connected. if the flow of the breath is erratic, the thoughts are usually turbulent and violent, and if the flow of breath is steady and slow, the thoughts are usually stable and less.

One study in the Journal of Neurophysiology revealed that several brain regions linked to attention, emotion, and body awareness are activated when we pay attention to our breath.

When you breathe slowly and deeply for a few seconds, your mind becomes stable and calm and makes you free from negative thoughts.

Therefore, practice deep breathing wherever negativity overpowers.

10. Fill Positivity Within You

As said, when positivity enters, negativity goes away.

You can read self-help books, use affirmations, watch motivation videos, and attend the self-development program to pour positivity within you.

Remember, you always have the choice, either be negative and manifest bad things or be positive and manifest good things. Isn’t it?

Therefore, always cultivate positive attitude and stop fostering unwanted thoughts and feelings.

If something unpleasant happens or manifests, accept it and move forward without giving much attention to it.

Many people make the mistake of keep remembering their bad experiences, and when something similar manifests into their life, they feel shocked and blame their fate.

Whether you want to stop manifesting your fears, bad things, or problems. The crux is to think positive and focus on manifesting things that you actually want.

How To Stop Manifesting Your Fears?

When you think and fear something, you actually energize it and allow it to manifest in your life. Therefore, to stop manifesting your fears, you need to stop thinking about your fears and direct your attention towards something you actually want.

For example, I have lost my job, and I am afraid of being broke.

In this case, if just I keep thinking and worrying that I have no money, I am broke. What will happen?

My fear will be manifested. Won’t?

So, instead of thinking and bothering negatively, I should focus on getting a new job and hope for a good future.

You can use affirmations, practice deep breathing, and/or any other techniques as explained above to get rid of your fears and negative thinking patterns.

That’s it.

I hope you live an abundant life and manifest miracles in life.

Good luck.
